I was completely terrified to evacuate FL due to hurricane Irma, but it has been a wild, wonderful adventure!
Me and my road trip buddy- Thomas loaded up the car and headed to our home state, good ole Carolina!
I was nervous. I haven’t been anywhere but the clinic and doctor appointments in a very long time. Traveling was going to be a challenge, especially with the traffic and obstacles!
But Thomas drove the whole way. We left at 7am. I curled up in the back seat like a pampered queen 😀 😀 😀
We finally arrived in NC about midnight. My sweet Aunt Patricia and Uncle Allan took me in and let me stay ❤
So the next morning, I wanted to see my CAROLINA! I prayed God would give me the strength…I pushed myself….and went to breakfast at one of my childhood favorite places ❤ Farmhouse!
I have visited loved ones I haven’t seen in a long time. I feel like I’ve been on an amazing tour of love! Who knew a hurricane would be such a blessing?
BBQ with my bestie from college!
Cuddle time with the baby cousin ❤
Time with my godmother, Mary!
Front Porch Sitting! ❤
Oh I’m still a Carolina GIRL!
God has truly given me the strength to do what I needed to do<3
Now….the question is when do I go back home?!
Until then, I’m having a ball in North Carolina! 😀
I knew I would live again…..
All I can say is that this week has been an absolute miracle. My loved ones were kept safe in the storm. My home was not damaged. I have had the strength to LIVE again. Not like I want to be yet, but I have had the strength to do what I need to do.
I was also able to sing in church and share my testimony- Click here for the link Winslow’s Testimony
